High tech dentistry means high quality results
At Lifetime Dental of Lake Forest, we use the latest in dental technology. Our state-of-the-art techniques are designed to keep you comfortable and give you great results. Below is a visual summary of some of the high-tech equipment used in our office.
Digital panoramic X-rays
Lifetime Dental of Lake Forest uses a state-of-the-art Gendex Orthoralix 8400 panoramic X-ray system. With this equipment we can capture the entirety of the mouth and jaw in a single detailed x-ray image enabling you and the doctor to quickly see any areas that need addressing so a proper evaluation can be made.
Our intraoral camera is a small, handheld camera that captures detailed digital images of your teeth and gums and instantly displays these on a computer screen. During your exam this can be used to quickly and clearly show you what the doctor sees and what may require dental work.
We use dental lasers to provide gentle and precise treatment for a variety of procedures. The laser beam targets the exact area without affecting surrounding tissues, which results in faster post-treatment healing times with reduced swelling and without the need for suturing. Between this and our WaterLase system, we utilize the best in technology for desensitizing teeth and oral lesions, gum disease treatment, gum recontouring, the removal of mouth ulcers, and precise bone cutting.
Digital X-rays with 80% less radiation
Lifetime Dental’s high tech digital x-rays emit 80% less radiation than traditional film X-rays, protecting you from harm. Furthermore, the images displayed are very clear and be produced much faster, enabling our doctors to identify issues which may not be otherwise visible.
Epic total diode laser
This technology combines focused light energy with a gentle spray of water for a highly precise, exceptionally gentle dental experience. This allows the doctors at Lifetime Dental to perform a wide range of procedures with many benefits for you, including: temporarily relieving joint pain and stiffness, removing inflamed areas and infected tissue from inside the gums, and lightening dark, yellowed, or discolored enamel caused by tobacco, food, and beverages such as tea, coffee and red wine. With this, we bring you virtually painless, natural dentistry with higher precision, resulting in less bleeding and swelling. In the long run, that translates into fewer dental visits for you.

Our state-of-the-art dental charting software provides a clean and simple odontogram from which our doctors can clearly map out the clinical activity and history on every surface of every tooth in your mouth. With this, it’s very easy to see exactly where you stand on your dental treatment.
Ultrasonic scalers emit sound waves which help to break up bacterial deposits, plaque and tartar from the surface of your teeth. For patient with sensitive teeth it’s settings can be adjusted. This tool helps our hygienists provide you with a comfortable and effective cleaning experience.
Inveri teeth whitening, 20 minutes in-office
Inveri’s revolutionary teeth whitening gel consists of a solution that is safe for even the most sensitive of teeth.
Within 20 minutes you will see your teeth become 2-8 shades whiter, without any of the sensitivity you can experience with most other teeth whitening products.
Modern sterilization system
We have a modern sterilization system that surpasses OSHA requirements. Additionally, the source of water for our dental units is fine filtered water which removes any chance of contamination from regular tap water like that used in most dental offices.
Mobile CT scanning
CT scans allow our doctors to perform important surgical procedures by providing them with precise imaging of a patient’s bone depth, nerve and sinus locations. We at Lifetime Dental of Lake Forest have access to a state-of-the-art mobile CT scanner, so there’s no need for you to visit an off-site facility for your scan.
